Who We Are
Meet the Team
QI – Quality Innovations is led by a team of experienced educators and organizational leaders united by a shared commitment to helping people and organizations grow. Meet the team driving QI's vision, practice, and impact.

Dr. Quiana Joseph-Muhammad — Chief Educational Officer
Dr. J-Muhammad, founder and CEO, brings nearly 20 years of experience in education to QI – Quality Innovations, with a career built on translating rigorous research into practices that work in real classrooms, districts, and organizations. She holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Teaching and Curriculum from the University of Rochester's Warner School of Education, and a Master of Education from SUNY Brockport. Her career spans roles as a teacher, teacher leader, adjunct professor, and curriculum integration specialist, where she has led district-wide curriculum design, facilitated culturally responsive professional learning, and directed a 10-month authorship program at Hub585 (currently Hope585) that helped seven Rochester youth become paid, published authors.
At QI, Dr. J-Muhammad sets the instructional vision and equity-centered framework, leading the design of The QI Method, professional learning groups, and workshop facilitation across teacher and executive leadership audiences. Her practice is distinguished by an inquiry-based approach — she leads with questions rather than assumptions, helping teams notice patterns, wonder about root causes, and co-construct solutions rather than simply receive them. This is paired with a rare fluency in both theory and extensive practice: she grounds every engagement in evidence-based frameworks while drawing on nearly two decades of hands-on experience in classrooms, districts, and community programs, resulting in work that is both intellectually sound and deeply responsive to the realities of the people it serves.
